Dear BHSC students

We are the new concentration you can chose as part of you BHSc HSOC Major: Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies

To get to know us in year one before declaring your concentration: Our intro classes are:
.·CORE 205 Intro to Disability Studies

CORE 207 Intro to Community Rehab Practice

After you declared your concentration:
You have to take these two Concentration Courses
· CORE 209: Disability Theory & Everyday Life

 CORE 425:  Social Construction Disability & Health

You also have to take one of CORE 470 series (471,473 or 475) as part of the concentration:
· Children with Special Needs & Their Families (471)
· Career Development & Disability (473)
· Rehab Practice & Aging Process (475)

Finally you have to take 2.0 FCE senior level Community Rehabilitation courses.

For Example:

· CORE 415: Management & Leadership in Non-Profit

· CORE 535:  Inclusive Education

 CORE 547  Health Research, Emerging Technologies and Marginalized Groups

. CORE 573: Disability and the Law

CORE 569: Recovery Model: Mental Health & Disability

· CORE 581: Professional Issues & Ethics in Community Rehab

 CORE 583:Community Development in Community
