RRP DESIGNATION

Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (CRDS) offers courses that apply towards certification as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) through the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (CARP). On page two of the RRP Application guide, it is stated that "degrees must include the following core competencies to be considered approved" for RRP certification:

Assessment Approaches

Disabling Condition and/or Disadvantaged Groups

Intervention and Strategies

History and Systems

Ethics

Communication Skills (Not offered at the University of Calgary through distance education.)

For further information on RRP requirements please visit www.carpnational.org.

We offer all of these courses on-line, other than Communication Skills. We believe that this course is best taken at a local institution in order to develop the skill-base.
