RRP DESIGNATION
Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (CRDS) offers
courses that apply towards certification as a Registered Rehabilitation
Professional (RRP) through the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation
Professionals (CARP). On page two of the RRP Application guide,
it is stated that "degrees must include the following core
competencies to be considered approved" for RRP certification:

We offer all of these courses on-line, other than Communication
Skills. We believe that this course is best taken at a local institution
in order to develop the skill-base.
The following are 20 hour courses that fulfill the RRP requirements.

Students who have not been accepted into a University of Calgary
program or have not previously taken courses at the University
of Calgary need to fill out an Open Studies Student Form. The
form needs to be mailed to:

Calgary, AB
T2N 1N4
or faxed to (403) 220-6494 along with a $135 deposit (VISA or
Mastercard on Open Studies Student Form) and unofficial transcripts
from previous coursework.
