Visual Aids & Menu Help
For those with visual impairments, or a small screen resolution, the menu offers several aids to ease navigation. Note that most browsers allow the user increase/decrease font size with CTRL and "+" or CTRL and "-" correspondingly. (It has just come to my attention that IE7 has replaced this with a "zoom" feature which current DOES NOT work properly. I am looking into the matter but in the meantime, I recommend Mozilla Firefox for your web browsing needs. You can get it FREE from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/). Once you have a comfortable font size:
- Hide the banner as screen real-estate is probably an issue
- Expand/contract the menu pane until it is about twice the width of a menu item
- Once you have navigated to a desired page, HIDE THE MENU
- Once you are done with a page, you can SHOW THE MENU and continue browsing!
Note also that the banner is a width of 1280 pixels but will contract to your browser width; no essential information is lost in this adaptive behavior. Happy browsing!
